Many consider the area around Fort Sam Houston to have some of the best neighborhoods in San Antonio. One particular neighborhood that is highly sought after is Olmos Park.
Olmos Park is a highly affluent city located within San Antonio in Bexar County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,343 at the 2000 census. The city is the second wealthiest location in the San Antonio metropolitan area after Hill Country Village. The community is mostly noted for its large Mediterranean style homes, tree-lined streets, and secluded park-like setting.
The City prides itself on being a friendly city with over 800 single-family homes, most valued between $450,000 and $950,000. Several are valued at more than $1,500,000. Many architectural styles compliment our neighborhood and large, beautiful trees form a canopy of shade over many of our streets.
Olmos Park is served by the Alamo Heights Independent School District. Schools serving Olmos Park include Howard Early Childhood Center in San Antonio, Cambridge Elementary School in Alamo Heights, Alamo Heights Junior High School in San Antonio, and Alamo Heights High School in Alamo Heights.
The Hannah Landa Memorial Library of the San Antonio Public Library, located in the Monte Vista Historic District in Midtown San Antonio, serves Olmos Park.
