Melissa Muse Wiggans started her real estate career in a less conventional way and became involved as an active owner of multiple residential rental properties in the heart of San Antonio, making her first mark on the Texas market in 2001. Upon receiving her realtor license in 2006, she quickly established herself as a leader, adding team members and opening her brokerage – the Real Estate Muses.
Melissa grew up in San Antonio and has a great love for the city and all it has to offer. She graduated from Saint Mary’s Hall Preparatory School before continuing on to Hollins University in Virginia, and later returning to San Antonio to attend St. Mary’s University, where she earned her master’s degree. Melissa holds a B.A. degree in Spanish, Political Science/Economics Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Business Administration. Always looking to continue her professional development and aiming be a strong resource for both her clients and agents, Melissa has obtained many valuable industry designations. They include Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate Realtor Institute, Accredited Buyer Representative, Senior Real Estate Specialist, Accredited Luxury Home Specialist, Military Relocation Professional, Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist and the Five Star Institute REO Certification. Melissa is also a graduate of the Texas Realtors Leadership Program, has been recognized as one of America’s Top 1% Real Estate Agents, was named a Platinum Top 50 realtor in San Antonio, a Texas Monthly Five Star Professional, and was even featured with her clients, in an episode of HGTV’s “House Hunters.” However, Melissa is most satisfied knowing her clients are happy. Always leading by example, she makes client service a top priority and carries this mission throughout her brokerage. Melissa’s professionalism, coupled with her “can do” attitude and gracious personality, have earned her the respect of her peers and industry partners alike, as well as the gratitude and loyalty of her clients.
Melissa continues to make great efforts to be active in the community with volunteer work that has included membership in the Junior League of San Antonio, service on the Saint Mary’s Hall Alumni Council and as a Hollins University Admissions Volunteer. She is also known for hosting a variety of client and community events throughout the year that benefit important issues facing the city of San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Still, with her many accolades and achievements, Melissa counts her family as her greatest accomplishment. She and her husband are joyfully raising two daughters and two standard poodles, enjoying family vacations to the North Carolina mountains whenever possible, and venturing to all parts are the world, continuing their lifelong love of travel.
